Alushta City Municipality, officially "the territory governed by the Alushta city council", also known as Greater Alushta is one of the 25 regions of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, a territory recognized by a majority of countries as part of Ukraine and incorporated by Russia as the Republic of Crimea. Change things up with these side-trips from Alushta Municipality: Vorontsov Palace and Park complex (in Alupka), Yalta (Lenin Embankment, Church of Christ the Savior, & more) and Cypress Alley (in Simeiz). Situated between Ukraine and Russia, Sevastopol represents a laid-back coastal city with impressive naval history and a desirable microclimate for vacationers.
Get out of town with these interesting Sevastopol side-trips: Foros Church of the Resurrection of Christ (in Foros) and Bakhchisaray (Cave Town of Chufut-Kale, Bakhchisaryi Holy Dormition Monastery, & more).
