Recognized as a World Heritage Site thanks to its photogenic colonial buildings, Puebla remains one of Mexico's top destinations for architecture enthusiasts.
Visiting Iztaccihuatl and Popocatepetl National Park and Museo Viviente will get you outdoors. Explore hidden gems such as Barrio del Artista and Ex-Convento de San Gabriel. Get out of town with these interesting Puebla side-trips: Zona Arqueológica de Cholula (in San Pedro Cholula), Tlaxcala (Palacio de gobierno de Tlaxcala & Centro Historico de Tlaxcala) and Museo Nacional del Titere (in Huamantla). There's still lots to do: explore the ancient world of Cantona Archaeological Ruins, pause for some serene contemplation at Templo San Francisco Acatepec, see the interesting displays at Museo Nacional del Ferrocarril, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Rosary Chapel (Capilla del Rosario).

To see where to stay, ratings, other places to visit, and more tourist information, use the Puebla day trip website.

In April, plan for daily highs up to °C, and evening lows to °C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 9th (Fri) so you can travel back home.
