In many ways the most modern of Italian cities, Milan is a busy, elegant metropolis with an impressive list of grand palaces, fine churches, and important museums.
Your day-by-day itinerary now includes Piazza di Santa Maria delle Grazie, 2 as well as Teatro Alla Scala. Gallerie d’Italia and Museo del Novecento will appeal to museum buffs. Ostia Antica is a large archeological site, close to the modern suburb of Ostia, that was the location of the harbour city of ancient Rome, which is approximately 30km to the northeast. Start off your visit on the 8th (Sun): walk around Parco XXV Novembre 1884, thenstop by Sapori Italiani, and then explore the ancient world of Parco Archeologico di Ostia Antica.
