Once the most important harbor in the Mediterranean Sea, Genoa has a long history as a rich and powerful trade center in northern Italy.
Take a break from Genoa with a short trip to Baia del Silenzio in Sestri Levante, about 52 minutes away. The adventure continues: get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Aquarium of Genoa, see the interesting displays at Galata Museo del Mare, get to know the fascinating history of Passeggiata Anita Garibaldi a Nervi, and make a trip to Piazza Raffaele De Ferrari.
