The Queen City

A rapidly growing city in central North Carolina, Charlotte is the state's largest urban center and a major regional hub for finance, industry, technology, and entertainment.
Attractions like Zipline and Carowinds make great kid-friendly stops. Get out of town with these interesting Charlotte side-trips: Greenville (Liberty Bridge & Falls Park on the Reedy) and Lake Lure Flowering Bridge (in Lake Lure). The adventure continues: explore the engaging exhibits at Discovery Place Science, get thoroughly spooked out with a ghost and vampire tour, examine the collection at NASCAR Hall of Fame, and walk around Freedom Park.
