8 days in Arecibo Itinerary

Arecibo is a municipality on the northern coast of Puerto Rico (U.S.), on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, located north of Utuado and Ciales; east of Hatillo; and west of Barceloneta and Florida. Your day-by-day itinerary now includes Aventuras Borincanas. Take a break from the city and head to Cueva del Indio and Playa Sucia. You'll get in some beach time at Crashboat Beach and La Poza Del Obizpo. Get out of town with these interesting Arecibo side-trips: Rincon (Ocean State of Mind, Domes Beach, & more), Parque Nacional de las Cavernas del Rio Camuy (in Camuy) and Buye Beach (in Cabo Rojo). There's still lots to do: Head underground at Aventura Cueva Ventana, trot along with a tour on horseback, explore the striking landscape of Bosque Cambalache National Park, and enjoy the sand and surf at Playa Mar Chiquita.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major airport is Luis Munoz Marin International Airport. In April, plan for daily highs up to 82°F, and evening lows to 71°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 18th (Sat) to allow time to travel back home.
