In December, daytime highs in Tulum are 80°F, while nighttime lows are 68°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Tue) so you can drive to Mahahual.

A growingly popular destination on Mexico's Caribbean coast, for most of its history Mahahual remained a tiny fishing village well off the beaten path.

Drive from Tulum to Mahahual in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. When traveling from Tulum in December, plan for a bit warmer days and about the same nights in Mahahual: temperatures range from 87°F by day to 69°F at night.
