Proud of their hometown's distinct culture and dialect, many natives of Osaka describe their city as "Japan's anti-capital." An antidote to Tokyo's hectic energy, Osaka marches to the beat of its own drum, serving as the country's longtime commercial and industrial hub.
On the 14th (Tue), get to know the resident critters at Shimin Fureai no Sato, stroll around Tombo Ike Park, and then take in nature's colorful creations at Gofuso Garden. Here are some ideas for day two: take in the dramatic scenery at Gyoja no Taki, take in the spiritual surroundings of Matsuo-ji Temple, then take in nature's colorful creations at Osaka Prefecture Flower Garden, then make a trip to Kanshinji Temple, and finally contemplate the long history of The Kuzuharas House.
