A long-established beach community, Playas del Coco has developed a reputation as a favored spot for young travelers and locals to let loose by the sea.
Start off your visit on the 1st (Sat): take in the exciting artwork at Rojas Bros Boruca Indigenous Arts and then relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: enjoy the sand and surf at Playa Hermosa and then see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour.

Jacksonville, USA to Playas del Coco is an approximately 10-hour flight. You can also drive. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 1 hour traveling from Jacksonville to Playas del Coco. Finish your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Sun) to allow enough time to drive to Tamarindo.

Tamarindo

Surfing remains the main reason to take a trip to Tamarindo, as the beachside town is mostly known for its excellent waves.
Kick off your visit on the 3rd (Mon): get a new perspective on things with Boat Tours & Water Sports and then wander the wide-open spaces of Pura Aventura. Keep things going the next day: relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas and then view the masterpieces at Lydia Beech Art Boutique.

San Jose

A trip to San Jose, the capital, commercial center, and cultural hub of Costa Rica, gives you a chance to experience the lively atmosphere and rich cultural past of this vibrant country.
Kick off your visit on the 5th (Wed): take in the architecture and atmosphere at Santuario Nacional Nuestra Senora de Los Angeles and then contemplate the long history of Ruins of Iglesia de Nuestra Senora de la Limpia Concepcion.
