As one of Spain’s most well-preserved medieval cities, Segovia is known for its 1st-century Roman aqueduct that runs through the city center.
You'll explore and learn at Alcazar of Segovia and Real Casa de la Moneda. Get some historical perspective at Catedral de Segovia and Royal Palace of La Granja of San Ildefonso. Venture out of the city with trips to Avila (Museo de Avila, Cathedral of Avila, &more), Ermita de San Frutos (in Burgomillodo) and Sepulveda (Hoces del Rio Duraton Natural Park, Plaza Mayor de Sepulveda, &more). There's still lots to do: wander the streets of Old City, enjoy unforgettable views with EoloFLY, do a tasting at Bodegas Finca Rio Negro, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Iglesia de San Millán.

To see other places to visit, more things to do, ratings, and tourist information, go to the Segovia road trip planning site.

If you are flying in from Australia, the closest major aiport is Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport. In April, plan for daily highs up to 17°C, and evening lows to 9°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 30th (Wed) to allow time to travel back home.
