Nida

Kaunas

Situated between the Neris and Nemunas rivers, Kaunas is known for its old town, which, though smaller than the capital's, is in much better condition.
Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Ninth Fort and Rumsiskes Open-Air Museum. Step off the beaten path and head to Cathedral of St. Peter and St. Paul and Pazaislis Monastery. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Kaunas: Siauliai (Siauliai Saint Disciple Peter and Paul Cathedral & Ruta Sokolado Muziejus), Antanas and Jonas Juska Museum of Ethnic Culture (in Vilkija) and Kedainiai Minaret (in Kedainiai).
