Explore Sapporo's surroundings by going to Niseko Mountain Resort Grand Hirafu Ski Place (in Kutchan-cho), Otaru Canal (in Otaru) and Noboribetsu Date Historic Village (in Noboribetsu). On the 8th (Sun), spend an exhilarating day on the slopes at Niseko Moiwa Ski Resort. The adventure continues: walk around Odori Park, get engrossed in the history at Historical Village of Hokkaido (Kaitaku-no Mura), take a stroll around Sapporo Underground Shopping Centre Aurora Town, and head outdoors with Maruyama Genshirin.

Seattle, USA to Sapporo is an approximately 16.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of shuttle and flight; or do a combination of flight and train. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 17 hours traveling from Seattle to Sapporo. Expect little chillier temperatures when traveling from Seattle in December; daily highs in Sapporo reach 32°F and lows reach 28°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 8th (Sun) so you can travel to Kanazawa.
