Curitiba, Brazil to Rome is an approximately 18-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight; or do a combination of shuttle and flight. Traveling from Curitiba to Rome, you'll lose 4 hours due to the time zone difference. Traveling from Curitiba in January, expect Rome to be much colder, temps between 15°C and 4°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 8th (Wed) so you can catch the train to Naples.

When in Assisi, make a side trip to see Vineria del Carmine in La Bruna, approximately 46 minutes away. You can drive from Amalfi to Assisi in 4.5 hours. Other options are to take a train; or do a combination of bus and train. In January, Assisi is little chillier than Amalfi - with highs of 11°C and lows of 2°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 29th (Wed) early enough to go by car to Florence.
