Known for centuries as a gateway to China, the port city of Xiamen has become a destination in itself, first to domestic visitors and now to a growing number of people from across the world.
Visiting Gulangyu and Kulangsu Huandao Road will get you outdoors. Shop till you drop at The eighth seafood Market and Zhongshan Road Walking Street. Step out of Xiamen to go to Quanzhou and see Quanzhou Maritime Museum, which is approximately 1h 35 min away.
