With the dramatic Carpathian Mountains as backdrop, Brasov is the largest city in a region of mountain resorts.
Step out of Brasov to go to Bran and see Bran Castle, which is approximately 36 minutes away. There's still lots to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of Black Church (Biserica Neagra), appreciate the extensive heritage of Rope Street - Strada Sforii, step into the grandiose world of Rasnov Citadel, and stop by Barrique M.

Reminiscent of the height of the bourgeoisie and retaining much of its medieval architecture, Sibiu is Romania's cultural gem.
Start off your visit on the 2nd (Tue): look for all kinds of wild species at Expo Reptile Vii, make a trip to Big Square (Piata Mare), and then see the interesting displays at ASTRA Museum. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: don't miss a visit to Turnul Sfatului (The Tower of the Council), snap pictures at Bridge of Lies, make a trip to Piata Mica, examine the collection at Brukenthal National Museum, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Lutheran Evangelical Cathedral & Tower, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Orthodox Cathedral.
