Kyoto— 57 nights
The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.Explore Kyoto's surroundings by going to Osaka (Universal Studios Japan, Tempozan Harbor Village, & more), Amagasaki (Kanro-ji Temple & Daikaku-ji Temple) and Nara (Naramachi Koshino Ie, Todaiji Temple Cultural Center, & more). There's still lots to do: take some stellar pictures from Kiyomizu-dera, take in the spiritual surroundings of Sanjusangendo Temple, explore the historical opulence of Nijo Castle, and make a trip to Nishiki Market.
