Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
Head to Ginza and Takeshita Streetfor some retail therapy. Your inner history buff will appreciate Tokyo National Museum and Hase-dera Temple. Explore Tokyo's surroundings by going to Tokyo DisneySea (in Maihama), Moroiso Shores (in Miura) and Ghibli Museum Mitaka (in Mitaka). Have a day of magic on the 12th (Fri) at Tokyo Disneyland. There's still lots to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of Sensō-ji, take a stroll through Akihabara, have some family-friendly fun at Owl cafe Akiba Fukurou, and admire the natural beauty at Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden.

Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago to Tokyo is an approximately 30-hour flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 13 hours traveling from Port of Spain to Tokyo. In July, daily temperatures in Tokyo can reach 36°C, while at night they dip to 27°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 16th (Tue) so you can go by car to Numazu.

Let the collections at The Hakone Open-Air Museum and Hakone Sekisho and Hakone Sekisho Museum capture your imagination. Visit Otago Beach and Ita Beach for some beach relaxation. Venture out of the city with trips to Gotemba Premium Outlets (in Gotemba), Nishiizu-cho (Futo Beach & Tagosehama Beach) and Pola Museum of Art (in Hakone-machi). There's lots more to do: get impressive views of Mount Fuji, kick back and relax at Odoi Beach, stroll through Kumi Beach, and cruise along Nishiizu Skyline.

Getting from Tokyo to Numazu by car takes about 1.5 hours. Other options: take a train; or take a bus. Traveling from Tokyo in July, you will find days in Numazu are little chillier (32°C), and nights are about the same (28°C). Finish your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Mon) to allow enough time to take a train to Kyoto.

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Head to Dotonbori and Nishiki Marketfor some retail therapy. Nijo Castle and Sanjusangendo Temple will appeal to history buffs. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Kyoto: Osaka (Universal Studios Japan & Osaka Castle) and Nara (Todai-ji Temple & Nara Park). There's much more to do: contemplate the long history of Kiyomizu-dera Temple, wander the streets of Gion, take in the spiritual surroundings of Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine, and see the interesting displays at Kyoto International Manga Museum.

Traveling by train from Numazu to Kyoto takes 3 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of train and flight. Traveling from Numazu in July, expect nights in Kyoto to be about the same, around 28°C, while days are a bit warmer, around 37°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 29th (Mon) to allow enough time to take a train to Hiroshima.
