If you are flying in from Israel, the closest major airports are Kaunas International Airport and Vilnius International Airport. In September in Kaunas, expect temperatures between 20°C during the day and 10°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 15th (Sun) so you can drive to Trakai.

Traveling by car from Kaunas to Trakai takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or take a train. In September, daytime highs in Trakai are 20°C, while nighttime lows are 9°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 18th (Wed) to allow enough time to drive back home.
