The largest city on the island, Fukuoka formed through the merger of two former cities that had grown up either side of the Naka River.
Start off your visit on the 21st (Fri): make a trip to Hakata Station, admire the masterpieces at Fukuoka Asian Art Museum, enjoy breathtaking views from Fukuoka Tower, thengo for a walk through Ohori Park, and finally get answers to all your questions at Michinoku Yume Plaza. Here are some ideas for day two: buy something for everyone on your list at Tenjin Underground Shopping Center, take in the spiritual surroundings of Kushida Shrine, take in the spiritual surroundings of Tochoji Temple, thentour the pleasant surroundings at Komyozen-ji Temple, thencontemplate in the serene atmosphere at Dazaifu Tenman-gu, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Tenkai Inari Shrine.

Corella, Philippines to Fukuoka is an approximately 13.5-hour combination of car and flight. You can also drive. The time zone changes from Philippine Standard Time (PST) to Japan Standard Time (JST), which is usually a 1 hour difference. An important gateway for trade and travel between Honshu and Kyushu, the city of Kitakyushu has an old industrial waterfront and provides access to a number of natural sites across the wider region.
On the 23rd (Sun), explore the historical opulence of Kokura Castle, examine the collection at Kyushu Railway History Museum, take a stroll through Mojiko Retro, thenmake a trip to Mojiko Retro Tenbowsitsu, thencontemplate the waterfront views at Kanmon Kaikyo, and finally don't miss a visit to Kanmon Tunnel for Humans (Moji Side).
