Start off your visit on the 22nd (Wed): get engrossed in the history at Shimane Museum of Ancient Izumo and then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Izumo Taisha Shrine. Keep things going the next day: get a new perspective on things with Boat Tours & Water Sports, then step into the grandiose world of Matsue Castle, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Yaegaki Shrine, and finally admire the natural beauty at Adachi Museum of Art.

Tokyo to Izumo is an approximately 4-hour flight. You can also take a train; or drive. In July, daily temperatures in Izumo can reach 34°C, while at night they dip to 28°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Thu) so you can go by car to Hiroshima.
