Escape the urban bustle at Miyajima and Mikasahama Beach. Do some cultural sightseeing at Itsukushima Shrine and Peace Memorial Park - Hiroshima. Step out of Hiroshima with an excursion to Itsukushima Shrine Torii in Hatsukaichi--about 1h 10 min away. There's lots more to do: get engrossed in the history at Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, appreciate the history behind Children's Peace Monument, explore the world behind art at Hiroshima Museum of Art, and contemplate the long history of Atomic Bomb Dome.
