Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Greens Pool and Little Beach. Get outdoors at Emu Point and Middleton Beach. When in Albany, make a side trip to see Elephant Rocks in Denmark, approximately Denmark away. There's more to do: examine the collection at National Anzac Centre and explore the striking landscape at The Gap and Natural Bridge.
