On the 2nd (Thu), get a sense of history and politics at Independence Hall, then explore the world behind art at Philadelphia Museum of Art, then tour the pleasant surroundings at Kelly Drive, and finally stroll through Schuylkill River Trail. On the 3rd (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: identify plant and animal life at The Scott Arboretum of Swarthmore College, witness the site of a historic battle at Valley Forge National Historical Park, and then identify plant and animal life at Green Lane Nature Center.

Start off your visit on the 4th (Sat): get your bearings at Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center, take in the dramatic natural features at Devils Den, then take in the history at Gettysburg National Military Park, and finally stroll the grounds of Gettysburg National Cemetery.

Known primarily for its steel-related heritage and 446 bridges, Pittsburgh sits at the confluence of the Monongahela and Allegheny Rivers, which meet to form the Ohio River.
On the 5th (Sun), take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mount Washington, admire the striking features of Hartwood Acres, and then identify plant and animal life at Beechwood Farms Nature Reserve.
