Pamplona or Iruña is the historical capital city of Navarre, in Spain, and of the former Kingdom of Navarre. The city is famous worldwide for the running of the bulls during the San Fermín festival, which is held annually from July 6 to 14. Explore Pamplona's surroundings by going to Iglesia-Fortaleza de Santa Maria de Ujue (in Ujue), Bardenas Reales (in Valtierra) and Palacio Real de Olite (in Olite). There's still lots to do: admire the landmark architecture of Catedral de Pamplona, admire the natural beauty at Parque de La Taconera, don't miss a visit to Calle del Laurel, and brush up on your military savvy at Fortress and Walls of Pamplona.
