Kernavė was a medieval capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and today is a tourist attraction and an archeological site (population 318, 1999). Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Kernave: Katleriai (The Treetop Walking Path & Puntukas Stone), Anyksciai (Church of Apostle Evangelist St. Matthew, Cosmos, &more) and Senvage (in Panevezys). There's much more to do: take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Kernave Mounds, enjoy breathtaking views from Kedainiai Minaret, see the interesting displays at Lithuanian Museum of Ethnocosmology, and make a trip to Kedainiai Old Town.

To find ratings, where to stay, reviews, and other tourist information, refer to the Kernave planner.

If you are flying in from Saudi Arabia, the closest major aiports are Vilnius International Airport and Kaunas International Airport. In July, plan for daily highs up to °C, and evening lows to °C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 31st (Tue) early enough to travel back home.
