Alupka is a resort city located in the Crimean peninsula, currently subject to a territorial dispute between the Russian Federation and Ukraine (see 2014 Crimean crisis). Start off your visit on the 9th (Tue): admire the landmark architecture of Vorontsov Palace and Park complex, then take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Ai-Petri, then delve into the mystery of Swallow's Nest, and finally steep yourself in history at Chekhov House & Museum.

Koktebel, formerly known as Planerskoye, is an urban-type settlement and one of the most popular resort townlets in South-Eastern Crimea. Kick off your visit on the 10th (Wed): admire nature's wide array of creatures at Dolphinarium Koktebel, examine the collection at House-Museum M. A. Voloshin, then make a trip to Golden Gate (Devil's Gate), and finally take in the awesome beauty at Karadag Natural Reserve.

Traveling by car from Alupka to Koktebel takes 3 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of bus and train. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 10th (Wed) so you can go by car to Kerch.

Kerch is a city of regional significance on the Kerch Peninsula in the east of the Crimea. Kick off your visit on the 11th (Thu): make a trip to Fortress Eni-Kale, then steep yourself in history at Adzhimushkay Quarry, then pause for some serene contemplation at Church of St. John the Baptist, and finally don't miss a visit to Mitridatskaya Lestnitsa.

Getting from Koktebel to Kerch by car takes about 2 hours. Other options: do a combination of car and train. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 1 hour traveling from Koktebel to Kerch. In July, daily temperatures in Kerch can reach 34°C, while at night they dip to 21°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 11th (Thu) to allow time to travel back home.
