Known for its historic medina quarter, a World Heritage Site, the city of Sousse boasts a rich history that dates back to the 11th century BCE. The maze-like streets of the walled medina reveal a number of Sousse attractions, from historic mosques and landmark buildings, to the well-preserved "ribat" fortress and a vibrant, bustling marketplace.
