You'll discover tucked-away gems like Yakusugi Land and Shiratani Unsuikyo Valley. Get in touch with nature at Oko no Taki Fall and Nagata Inakahama. Traveling by combination of train, flight, and taxi from Tateyama-machi to Yakushima-cho takes 9.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train, ferry, and taxi; or do a combination of car and ferry. Traveling from Tateyama-machi in April, things will get somewhat warmer in Yakushima-cho: highs are around 25°C and lows about 17°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 28th (Sun) to allow enough time to travel to Onna-son.

Onna-son

Located on the coast in the middle of the island, Onna-son has become known for its beaches and seaside economy.
Take a break from the city and head to Scuba & Snorkeling and Akabaka Beach. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Daisekirinzan and Stand-Up Paddleboarding.
