Gwangju is the sixth largest city in South Korea. Venture out of the city with trips to Gwanghallu Pavilion (in Namwon), Unjusa (in Hwasun-gun) and Hwaeomsa Temple (in Gurye-gun). There's lots more to do: stroll around Mudeungsan National Park, step into the grandiose world of Gochangeupseong Fortress, take in the spiritual surroundings of Mudeungsan Jeungsimsa Temple, and take a peaceful walk through Boseong Green Tea Field Daehan Dawon.

One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Go for a jaunt from Seoul to Paju to see DMZ Haemaru Village about 1h 25 min away. And it doesn't end there: get engrossed in the history at Gyeongbokgung Palace, wander the streets of Insadong, tour the pleasant surroundings at Cheonggyecheon Stream, and walk around Namsan Park.
