The largest and most populous city in New Zealand, Auckland combines a rich history and thriving contemporary culture in an abundance of museums, art galleries, and performance venues.Get outdoors at Tawharanui Regional Park and Tiritiri Matangi Visitor Centre. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Auckland: Waiheke Island (Connells Bay Sculpture Park & Fishing Charters & Tours) and Muriwai Gannet Colony (in Muriwai Beach).
