Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
Change things up with a short trip to Tokyo DisneySea in Urayasu (about 30 minutes away). Have a day of magic on the 10th (Sun) at Tokyo Disneyland. There's much more to do: don't miss a visit to Meiji Jingu Shrine, enjoy breathtaking views from Tokyo Skytree, admire the masterpieces at Tokyo National Museum, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Senso-ji Temple.

Ljubljana, Slovenia to Tokyo is an approximately 17-hour flight. You can also do a combination of shuttle and flight; or do a combination of flight and train. The time zone changes from Central European Time (CET) to Japan Standard Time (JST), which is usually an 8 hour difference. Expect somewhat warmer temperatures when traveling from Ljubljana in February; daily highs in Tokyo reach 12°C and lows reach 2°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 12th (Tue) early enough to catch the train to Kanazawa.

Expect slightly colder weather when traveling from Tokyo in February: highs in Kanazawa hover around 7°C, while lows dip to 0°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 16th (Sat) early enough to catch the train to Kyoto.

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Venture out of the city with trips to Osaka (Universal Studios Japan, Dotonbori, & more). There's much more to do: steep yourself in history at Kiyomizu-dera Temple, step into the grandiose world of Nijo Castle, go for a walk through Arashiyama, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Kinkaku-ji.

You can take a train from Kanazawa to Kyoto in 2.5 hours. Other options are to drive; or take a bus. In February, daytime highs in Kyoto are 11°C, while nighttime lows are 1°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 21st (Thu) early enough to take a train to Himeji.

The castle around which the city of Himeji has developed represents one of the best preserved in the country, and has been designated as a national treasure and a World Heritage Site.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Himeji: Chinatown (Nankinmachi) (in Chuo), Otabu Gyoko Genroku Bohatei (in Bizen) and Korakuen Garden (in Okayama). And it doesn't end there: step into the grandiose world of Himeji Castle, hit the slopes at Wakasu Kogen Oya Ski Area, take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mt. Takamikura, and steep yourself in history at Yoneda Taishiji Temple.

Getting from Hiroshima to Nagasaki by train takes about 3.5 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus. In March in Nagasaki, expect temperatures between 17°C during the day and 8°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 5th (Tue) to allow enough time to travel to Motobu-cho.

Formed by the gradual merging of several old fishing villages, today the island town of Motobu-cho boasts paradisal beaches of white sand, clear waters, and a rich array of wildlife.

You can do a combination of flight and ferry from Nagasaki to Motobu-cho in 7 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train and ferry; or do a combination of ferry and car. Traveling from Nagasaki in March, things will get somewhat warmer in Motobu-cho: highs are around 24°C and lows about 16°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 9th (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
