Kick off your visit on the 29th (Mon): trek along Kuniya Walk, then take in the dramatic natural features at Uluru, then view the masterpieces at Walkatjara Art, and finally get advice or help at Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. Keep things going the next day: admire the verdant scenery at Valley of the Winds, head outdoors with Walpa Gorge, and then take in the awesome beauty at Kata Tjuta / Mount Olga.

Sydney to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park is an approximately 5.5-hour flight. You can also drive. Traveling from Sydney in June, expect slightly colder with lows of 7°C in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. On the 1st (Wed), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel to Alice Springs.

The smallest of Australia’s state capitals, Darwin has nevertheless become an attractive and important urban center, being simultaneously one of the country’s most modernized cities and a gateway to both the Top End region and South East Asia.
Escape the urban bustle at Mindil Beach and Litchfield National Park. Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory and Darwin Aviation Museum are good opportunities to explore the local culture.
