One of Poland's oldest cities, Krakow sits at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains, its historical town center nestled on the left bank of the Vistula River.
You'll explore and learn at Wieliczka Salt Mine and Jagiellonian University - Collegium Maius. Do some cultural sightseeing at Wawel Cathedral and Jewish District (Kazimierz). When in Krakow, make a side trip to see Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum in Oswiecim, approximately 1h 25 min away. There's much more to do: explore the historical opulence of Wawel Royal Castle, take in the spiritual surroundings of Franciscan Church (Kosciol Franciszkanow), explore the different monuments and memorials at New Jewish Cemetery, and examine the collection at Oskar Schindler's Factory.

Although its history goes back a thousand years, Gdansk represents one of Poland's most modern urban centers, its thriving economy boosted by a lively tourism sector.
Visit Jelitkowo Beach and Sopot Beach for some beach relaxation. Mariacka Street (ulica Mariacka) and Oliwa Cathedral will appeal to history buffs. Explore Gdansk's surroundings by going to Jurata Beach (in Jurata), Gdynia Beach (in Gdynia) and Malbork Castle Museum (in Malbork).
