A city jurisdiction formed after the merger of several towns in 2005, Miyakojima spans six linked-up islands.
Take a break from the city and head to Yonaha Maehama Beach and Toguchi no Hama. Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Sunayama Beach and Aragusuku Beach. There's still lots to do: explore the gorgeous colors at Yabiji and kick back and relax at Sawada no hama Beach.

Explore Kyoto's surroundings by going to Nara (Nara Park & Todai-ji Temple) and Osaka (Dotonbori & Osaka Castle).
