Your inner history buff will appreciate Tokyo National Museum and Sensō-ji. Head to Ginza and Takeshita Streetfor some retail therapy. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Tokyo: The Hakone Open-Air Museum (in Hakone-machi), Ghibli Museum Mitaka (in Mitaka) and Katabira-gawa Shinsui Ryokudo (in Yokohama). There's much more to do: wander the streets of Odaiba, don't miss a visit to Meiji Jingu Shrine, shop like a local with Asakusa, and examine the collection at Edo-Tokyo Museum.
