With a population of less than 300, Harpers Ferry is as quaint as they come.
Family-friendly places like Harpers Ferry National Historical Park and Appalachian National Scenic Trail will thrill your kids. Venture out of the city with trips to Orr's Farm Market (in Martinsburg) and Cacapon Resort State Park (in Berkeley Springs). There's much more to do: take some stellar pictures from Jefferson Rock, get engrossed in the history at John Brown Wax Museum, steep yourself in history at White Hall Tavern, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church.
