Situated in the isolated north of the hilly Noto Peninsula, Wajima attracts visitors with its many museums, festivals, and shops that showcase its rich cultural heritage.
Get in touch with nature at Hachigasaki Beach and Gammon. We've included these beaches for you: Mitsuke Beach and Kinourakaiiki Park. Get out of town with these interesting Wajima side-trips: Matsunami Sake Brewery (in Noto-cho) and Suzu (Mitsukejima Island & Rokkosaki). There's much more to do: examine the collection at Wajima Kiriko Art Museum, take in the spiritual surroundings of Daihonzan Soujiji Soin, take in the dramatic scenery at Tarumi Falls, and make a trip to Shiroyone Semmaida.

For photos, maps, more things to do, and more tourist information, you can read our Wajima travel route planner.

If you are flying in from Singapore, the closest major airports are Toyama Airport, Komatsu Airport and Niigata Airport. In June, daytime highs in Wajima are 27°C, while nighttime lows are 21°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 20th (Thu) to allow time to travel back home.
