Pamplona or Iruña is the historical capital city of Navarre, in Spain, and of the former Kingdom of Navarre. The city is famous worldwide for the running of the bulls during the San Fermín festival, which is held annually from July 6 to 14. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Pamplona: Logrono (Wine Tours & Tastings & Calle del Laurel), Ruinas de San Pedro (in Viana) and Vitoria-Gasteiz (Catedral de Santa Maria & Plaza de la Virgen Blanca). There's much more to do: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Catedral de Pamplona, ponder the world of politics at Ayuntamiento de Pamplona, don't miss a visit to Plaza del Castillo, and brush up on your military savvy at Fortress and Walls of Pamplona.
