Once the most important harbor in the Mediterranean Sea, Genoa has a long history as a rich and powerful trade center in northern Italy.
On the 10th (Thu), admire the masterpieces at Palazzo Ducale, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Cattedrale di San Lorenzo - Duomo di Genova, then get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Aquarium of Genoa, and finally take a stroll through Boccadasse. Here are some ideas for day two: enjoy the sand and surf at Baia del Silenzio, appreciate the extensive heritage of Passeggiata Anita Garibaldi a Nervi, and then see the interesting displays at Galata Museo del Mare.

On the 12th (Sat), hike along Footpath Monterosso - Vernazza, step into the grandiose world of Castello Doria, then take in the waterfront at Passeggiata Lungomare, and finally get into the urban bustle at Vernazza.
