A spiritual center of Shintoism, Ise stands as a traditional city where visitors can see the roots of Japanese culture in a number of well-preserved natural and historic sites.
We've included these beaches for you: Goza Beach and Ichigo Beach. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Izawanomiya and Hinjitsukan. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Ise: Takinomiya (in Taiki-cho) and Shima (Daiosaki Lighthouse & Daiozaki Lighthouses). And it doesn't end there: make a trip to Jingu Chokokan Museum, explore the activities along Futami-ura, see the interesting displays at Okageza, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Yamato-hime Shrine.

If you are flying in from South Korea, the closest major aiports are Chubu Centrair International Airport, Osaka International Airport and Kansai International Airport. In August, plan for daily highs up to °C, and evening lows to °C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 1st (Sat) so you can travel back home.
