Famed for its landscape of unusually shaped stone formations and churches cut into the natural rocks, Goreme sits in the central part of the country, an area originally settled during Roman times.
Change things up with a short trip to Derinkuyu Yeralti Sehri in Derinkuyu (about 38 minutes away). There's much more to do: get outside with Outdoor Activities, get engrossed in the history at Goreme Open-Air Museum, appreciate the views at Gulludere Vadisi, and Head underground at Cappadocia Cave Dwellings.

Edirne is a city in the northwestern Turkish province of Edirne in the region of East Thrace, close to Turkey's borders with Greece and Bulgaria.
