Along the Dalmation Coast, the city of Dubrovnik has become famous for its pedestrian-only Old Town surrounded by fortress walls, and its historical heft has earned it World Heritage Site status.
You'll get in some beach time at Sunj Beach and Sveti Jakov Beach. Head to AR Atelier and K Centar Sub Cityfor some retail therapy. Venture out of the city with trips to Srebreno Beach (in Srebreno), Pasjaca Beach (in Popovici) and Cavtat (Cavtat Cemetery & Cavtat Old Town). On the 10th (Wed), spend a thrilling day on the water with a speed boat tour. Dedicate the 11th (Thu) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. And it doesn't end there: head off the coast to Island of Lokrum, delve into the distant past at Walls of Dubrovnik, examine the collection at War Photo Limited, and take in the local highlights with Walking tours.

Dublin, Ireland to Dubrovnik is an approximately 7-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight; or do a combination of flight and ferry. The time zone difference moving from Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) to Central European Time (CET) is 1 hour. Traveling from Dublin in July, things will get a bit warmer in Dubrovnik: highs are around 34°C and lows about 24°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 14th (Sun) early enough to go by car to Makarska.

Makarska is a small city on the Adriatic coastline of Croatia, about 60km southeast of Split and 140km northwest of Dubrovnik. Visit Punta Rata Beach and Zitna Beach for some beach relaxation. Get in touch with nature at Brela Beach and Samograd Bay. Change things up with these side-trips from Makarska: Istruga Beach (in Brna), Plisivac Beach (in Podgora) and Drasnice (in Drasnice). And it doesn't end there: kick back and relax at Tucepi Beach, learn about winemaking at Vino Spaleta, stroll through Slatina Beach, and take in the dramatic natural features at Brela Stone - a symbol of Brela.

You can drive from Dubrovnik to Makarska in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In July, plan for daily highs up to 36°C, and evening lows to 26°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 21st (Sun) so you can take a bus to Split.

Experience an authentic Adriatic lifestyle in Split, the largest city along the sea's coast.
Visiting Dubovica and Milna will get you outdoors. Shop till you drop at Riva Harbor and Mall of Split. Get out of town with these interesting Split side-trips: Primosten (Hilltop 15th Century Church of St. George in Old Town Primosten & Primosten Honey shop Gracin), Hvar (Spanjola, Franciscan Monastery, & more) and River Rafting & Tubing (in Omis). On the 26th (Fri), spend a thrilling day on the water with a speed boat tour. You can take a bus from Makarska to Split in an hour. Alternatively, you can drive. In July in Split, expect temperatures between 36°C during the day and 26°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 30th (Tue) early enough to travel to Novigrad.
