Ishigaki

Ishigaki, the most populous island in the chain, features the country's southernmost city and acts as a transport hub for exploring the landmasses that surround.
Ishigaki is known for nature, beaches, historic sites, wildlife, and parks. Your plan includes some of its best attractions: contemplate the waterfront views at Kabira Bay, walk around Banna Park, enjoy the sea views from Cape Hirakubozaki, and get outside with Yarabudake.

Zhengzhou, China to Ishigaki is an approximately 13-hour flight. You can also drive. You'll lose 1 hour traveling from Zhengzhou to Ishigaki due to the time zone difference. Traveling from Zhengzhou in June, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be somewhat warmer in Ishigaki, with lows of 32°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 25th (Tue) early enough to travel to Hiroshima.

You can do a combination of flight and train from Ishigaki to Hiroshima in 5.5 hours. Alternatively, you can fly. In June, Hiroshima is little chillier than Ishigaki - with highs of 30°C and lows of 23°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 29th (Sat) to allow enough time to take a train to Himeji.

The castle around which the city of Himeji has developed represents one of the best preserved in the country, and has been designated as a national treasure and a World Heritage Site.
Get out of town with these interesting Himeji side-trips: Korakuen Garden (in Okayama), Awaga Shrine (in Asago) and Shikoku Mura Village (in Takamatsu). Next up on the itinerary: go for a walk through Himeji Castle, admire the sheer force of Tendaki Falls, take in nature's colorful creations at Koko-en Garden, and don't miss a visit to Tarumino Ozakura.

Take a train from Hiroshima to Himeji in an hour. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of bus and train. Expect a daytime high around 28°C in June, and nighttime lows around 24°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 3rd (Wed) so you can catch the train to Kyoto.

Getting from Himeji to Kyoto by train takes about an hour. Other options: drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Himeji in July, expect nights in Kyoto to be about the same, around 28°C, while days are somewhat warmer, around 37°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 8th (Mon) early enough to take a train to Kanazawa.
