Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.

Venture out of the city with trips to Akiruno (Minamisawa Ajisaiyama & Akigawabashi Kasen Park Barbecue Land), Hakone-machi (Owaku-dani Valley, Hakone Ropeway, & more) and Tokyo DisneySea (in Maihama). Have a day of magic on the 30th (Sat) at Tokyo Disneyland. There's still lots to do: make a trip to Meiji Jingu Shrine, ponder the world of politics at Imperial Palace, take in panoramic vistas at Tokyo Metropolitan Government Buildings, and admire the natural beauty at Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden.

If you are flying in from Mongolia, the closest major airports are Tokyo Haneda International Airport, Narita International Airport and Hyakuri Airport. In March, plan for daily highs up to 17°C, and evening lows to 7°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 22nd (Mon) to allow time to travel back home.
