The largest city on the island, Fukuoka formed through the merger of two former cities that had grown up either side of the Naka River.

Singapore, Singapore to Fukuoka is an approximately 9-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train. The time zone difference moving from Singapore Time to Japan Standard Time is 1 hour. In December, Fukuoka is much colder than Singapore - with highs of 13°C and lows of 5°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 16th (Mon) to allow enough time to take a train to Okayama.

The country's first established capital, Nara houses some of the most storied buildings and natural attractions in Japan, with eight World Heritage Sites in total.
Kick off your visit on the 18th (Wed): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Daibutsuden, appreciate the history behind Todai-ji Temple, examine the collection at Todaiji Temple Cultural Center, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Kasuga Grand Shrine, then walk around Nara Park, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Nigatsu-do Temple. Step out of Kyoto to go to Osaka and see Daimaru Museum Umeda, which is approximately 56 minutes away.
