Originally little more than a simple camp constructed to house workers who built a nearby dam on the Colorado River, Page is now a popular stop for travelers preparing a trip to Arizona's canyon country.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and Coyote Buttes. Get outdoors at Wire Pass Trail (Buckskin Gulch Access) and Waterholes Canyon. Step out of Page to go to Kanab and see Nautilus Rock, which is approximately 52 minutes away. The adventure continues: contemplate the waterfront views at Lake Powell, kick back and relax at Lone Rock Beach, hit the best photo ops around with an inspiring photography tour, and take in the dramatic natural features at Paria Rimrocks Toadstool Hoodoos.

A tiny town with big tourist appeal, Williams lies on one of the first highways ever built in America, the iconic "Route 66." The town boasts many inns, motels, restaurants, and shops, although its most important feature is serving as the southern terminus of a scenic railway leading to the area's most famous tourist attraction, the World Heritage-listed Grand Canyon.
Williams Depot and Grand Canyon Railway Depot are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Take a break from the city and head to Grand Canyon South Rim and South Kaibab Trail. Explore Williams' surroundings by going to Grand Canyon National Park (Powell Point, Hopi Point, &more) and Tusayan General Store (in Tusayan).

You can drive from Williams to Sedona in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. Traveling from Williams in June, things will get somewhat warmer in Sedona: highs are around 40°C and lows about 23°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 18th (Thu) early enough to go by car to Cottonwood.
