Bengaluru, India to Iriomote-jima is an approximately 16.5-hour combination of flight and car. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 3 hours traveling from Bengaluru to Iriomote-jima. While traveling from Bengaluru, expect little chillier days and about the same nights in Iriomote-jima, ranging from highs of 30°C to lows of 24°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 14th (Tue) to allow time to ride a ferry to Ishigaki.

Ishigaki

Ishigaki, the most populous island in the chain, features the country's southernmost city and acts as a transport hub for exploring the landmasses that surround.
Take a break from the city and head to Kayaking & Canoeing and Scuba & Snorkeling. Explore hidden gems such as Nakamoto Beach and Rhizophoraceae Plant Community of Fukidogawa River. Miyakojima

A city jurisdiction formed after the merger of several towns in 2005, Miyakojima spans six linked-up islands.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Yabiji and Imugya Marine Garden. Get in touch with nature at Scuba & Snorkeling and Kayaking & Canoeing. The adventure continues: kick back and relax at Painagama Beach, head outdoors with Toguchi no Hama, step off the mainland to explore Irabu-jima Island, and explore the activities along Toriike Pond.

Fly from Ishigaki to Miyakojima in 2 hours. Expect a daytime high around 29°C in April, and nighttime lows around 23°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Wed) so you can travel to Onna-son.

Onna-son

Located on the coast in the middle of the island, Onna-son has become known for its beaches and seaside economy.
Get outdoors at Kouri Beach and Scuba & Snorkeling. Venture out of the city with trips to Nakijin Castle Ruins (in Nakijin-son), Motobu-cho (Okichan Theater, Okinawa Memorial Park Ocean Expo Park, & more) and Okuma Beach (in Kunigami-son). Next up on the itinerary: steep yourself in history at Sefa-Utaki and appreciate the history behind Okinawa Peace Memorial Park.

A popular destination for Japanese tourists, Kumage-gun Yakushima-cho is a true paradise for nature lovers, with over 1,900 species and subspecies of plants.
Get outdoors at Nagata Inakahama and Yakusugi Land. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Seibu Trail and Wilson Stump. There's lots more to do: make a trip to Taikoiwa, admire the sheer force of Oko no Taki Fall, and take in breathtaking views at Shiratani Unsuikyo Valley.

Do a combination of flight and taxi from Onna-son to Yakushima-cho in 6.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of ferry and taxi; or do a combination of bus, ferry, and taxi. Expect a daytime high around 25°C in April, and nighttime lows around 17°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 28th (Tue) early enough to travel to Takachiho-cho.

The mountain town of Takachiho-cho remains a place of great importance to Japan's spiritual and natural heritage, and the point where these two things intersect.
Start off your visit on the 29th (Wed): take in the spiritual surroundings of Amano Yasugawara, admire the sheer force of Manai Falls, then explore the stunning scenery at Takachiho Gorge, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Takachiho Shrine.

Alternatively, you can do a combination of car and ferry; or do a combination of taxi, flight, and bus. Traveling from Yakushima-cho in April, expect little chillier with lows of 12°C in Takachiho-cho. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 30th (Thu) early enough to travel back home.

Skiing enthusiasts traveling in Japan should consider a trip to Hakuba-mura: tucked away in the Northern Alps, this village hosted several competitions during the Nagano 1998 Winter Olympics.
Your day-by-day itinerary now includes Happo Pond. Get outdoors at Kitaone Kogen Highland and Shi no Komichi. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Hakuba Daisekkei Trail and Kashimayarigatake. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 3rd (Sun) to allow enough time to travel back home.
