Step off the beaten path and head to Shoren-in Temple (Shoren-in Monzeki) and Kodai-ji Temple. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Nishi Honganji and Toji. Vancouver, Canada to Kyoto is an approximately 13.5-hour combination of flight and train. You can also fly. The time zone difference when traveling from Vancouver to Kyoto is 17 hours.
