Prague lures millions of tourists each year with its World Heritage-listed medieval city center--a labyrinth of narrow lanes, bridges, cathedrals, and palaces overlooked by a thousand-year-old castle.
Step off the beaten path and head to Thrill Park - Prague's Horror Theme Park and The Vrtba Garden. There's still lots to do: stroll around Vyšehradské sady, examine the collection at Speculum Alchemiae Museum, take in nature's colorful creations at Royal Garden, and don't miss a visit to Waldstein Palace.

You might consider the city of Budapest, divided by the Danube River into two distinctive cities--Buda and Pest--to be essentially one large World Heritage Site.
Step off the beaten path and head to City Park Városliget and Visegrad Citadel. Change things up with a short trip to Esztergom Basilica / Cathedral in Esztergom (about 1h 10 min away). There's lots more to do: admire the landmark architecture of Gresham Palace, get your bearings at Zwack Heritage and Visitors' Centre, enjoy some diversion at Budapest Shooting, and get to know the fascinating history of Korzo - Danube Embankment (Dunakorzo).

One of Poland's oldest cities, Krakow sits at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains, its historical town center nestled on the left bank of the Vistula River.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Ogrod DoSwiadczen im. St. Lema and Wolski Forest. Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Pozzo di San Patrizio and Piazza Venezia.
