A beautiful and romantic city fit for any itinerary, Paris brims with historic associations and remains vastly influential in the realms of culture, art, fashion, food and design.
Louvre Museum and Eiffel Tower are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Musee d'Orsay and Centre National d'Art et de Culture George Pompidou will appeal to museum buffs. Step out of Paris with an excursion to Palace of Versailles in Versailles--about 48 minutes away. There's much more to do: shop like a local with Champs-Elysees, contemplate the long history of Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris, wander the streets of Le Marais, and stop by Saint Germain des Pres Quarter.
